ABOUT DESIGNER: Bruce Roberts-Goodson:
Born in Victoria Australia Bruce was educated at Eltham High School & then studied yacht design through the US based Westlawn Institute of Marine Technology. Bruce entered the marine industry and for several years operated a boat yard in Brisbane where he completed an informal boatbuilding apprenticeship.

In 1966  In Brisbane Australia ... Bruce founded BRUCE ROBERTS YACHT DESIGN in partnership with Andrew Slorach ... Andy is still involved in the business  SEE AUSTRALIAN WEB SITE.

In 1972 Bruce opened his US design office. Bruce has since designed a huge range of sail and powerboats that have been built in fiberglass, steel, aluminum and wood epoxy.

Bruce personally prepares the preliminary plans and supervises his staff of naval architects in Holland, USA, Ireland and Spain;  he also finds time to pay regular visits to the various Bruce Roberts Yacht Design offices around the world. Recent projects include a 75ft R/C charter schooner, Voyager 450 R/C steel sailboat (pre-cut steel), Euro 20 m / Waverunner 65 (pre-cut steel ), Trawler 485, Trawler 520, 65 ft wood / epoxy sailboat especially for wheel-chair bound sailor, a 65 ft steel catamaran for a client in Latvia,  a 70 ft wood epoxy motor yacht for a builder in India .. this boat will operate out of Dubai. Apologies for the confusion, the 1200D I am referring to is the Waverunner 1200D and it is mentioned under the section ‘Speed Estimates for the Waverunner 1100D and 1200D’ in the study plan package for the Waverunner 1100D.

The plans were ordered from  Phil Hogg & Paul Taylor and paid for through paypal receipt no 3255-8719-2994-2647),  Are you saying this is a pirate site?

I have attached proof of payment in the form of an invoice, please be advised that if the purchase was done through a pirate website it was not my intention to do so, please let me know so I can take action against these guys!

Hi Bruce

I had no idea these plans are illegal. I have previously purchased plans
from Bruce Roberts and purchased a hull and deck from a boat yard in
Brisbane so i naturally thought the name that comes up when i googled
Bruce Roberts in Australia was the new owner/supplier of the plans.

All I can do is apologise as i had no idea the
plans are illegal. I have been ripped off  it appears. Having seen Bruce
Roberts plans in the past i did not notice any difference in these plans.

I sincerely apologise again but everything i read in the website led me
to believe i was dealing with a genuine dealer. I have not commence
building yet and it appears it may not happen.

It is possible to stay off this list ... firstly check before you buy any Bruce Roberts designed boat and secondly you can correct the situation at minimum expense by contacting BRUCE who is very reasonable to deal with in this respect.

The honor of the first person to be posted on this section is one Ambrogio Di Bernardo Milano-Italy who claimed he never received his plans ... he has now admitted that he DID receive his plans and this posting will remain on our and other web sites until he publicly apologizes on the same web site that he posted the lies in the first place!

BLACK-LISTED ... Commercial builders:

1.  Any boats built by FORTUNA YACHTS (South Africa) & marketed as  Bruce Roberts designs - Reason - Alteration to the plans and all these boats built from pirated or stolen plans.

2.  Any Roberts 43's built by MASTERS BOATBUILDING in Florida - Marketed as Sea-Master 45 - Built from Pirated plans that have been altered and this boat has serious problems.

3.  Any versions of Roberts 43 built in Taiwan and marketed as ROBERTS 450 - Plans altered and boat has serious problems.

4.  There are many fiberglass Roberts 35's sold in Australia under the name of MAZSCRAFT ... No royalties were paid on these boats so they are black-listed with all our design offices.

5.  Several fiberglass Spray 28's, Spray 33's and Spray 36's were built in UK by HUMBER BOAT COMPANY and BLAXTON BOATS without the builder paying any royalties on the plans ... also it is suspected that the plans were copied illegally. Check with Bruce Roberts before you buy one the fiberglass Sprays

6.  Several fiberglass Roberts 25's were built in UK by HUMBER BOAT COMPANY, without the builder paying any royalties on the plans .. Check with Bruce Roberts before you buy one of these boats or hulls.

7. FINELINE DESIGNS ....  This outfit is illegally selling Bruce Roberts Designs which they have copied without Bruce Roberts permission .. any Bruce Roberts designed boat built from these illegally copied plans will be BLACK-BALLED and no one will ever buy it off you.
